Andrew Bursky - Manager of Commercial Resources
Mr. Bursky has been a Managing Partner of Atlas Holdings since June 2002. From August 1999 to June 2002, Mr. Bursky was Managing Partner of Pegasus Capital Advisors, L.P., a private investment firm with approximately $800 million of committed equity capital. Mr. Bursky joined Pegasus in 1999 after 19 years with Interlaken Capital, Inc. Mr. Bursky was one of the founding principals and the Senior Managing Director of Interlaken. While at Interlaken, Mr. Bursky was responsible for investments, primarily focused on industrial manufacturing and distribution, business services and financial services. Mr. Bursky serves on the board of directors of Atlas Industrial Services LLC, Azure Mountain Capital Financial Corporation, CanAmPac ULC, Capital Equipment Resources LLC, Finch Paper Holdings LLC and Forest Resources LLC. In addition, Mr. Bursky serves as a Trustee of the Eisenhower Fellowships, the Skin Cancer Foundation and Washington University in St. Louis. Mr. Bursky is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis and Harvard Business School.
William Corbin - Manager of Commercial Resources
Mr. Corbin retired from Weyerhaeuser in February 2006 where he oversaw the company’s Industrial Wood Products and International Business Groups, including Weyerhaeuser Forest Products International, Weyerhaeuser Asia and Europe, Appearance Wood, Composites and BC Coastal Business Groups. From 1995 to 1999 he served as Executive Vice President, Timberlands and Distribution and from 1999 to 2004 again as Executive Vice President, Wood Products. Prior to joining Weyerhaeuser, Mr. Corbin held senior positions at Crown Zellerbach Corporation, International Paper Company and other firms during a 35-year career in wood products manufacturing and timberlands management. Mr. Corbin received his B.S. degree from the University of Washington and a Master of Forestry degree emphasizing industrial administration from Yale University. He serves on various boards including Wood Resources LLC, University of Washington College of Fisheries and Oceanography and the University of Washington Foundation.
Daniel Cromie - Secretary, Treasurer and a Manager of Commercial Resources
Mr. Cromie is currently a Principal and Vice President of Atlas Holdings, a private investment company. Prior to joining Atlas Holdings, Mr. Cromie served as a consultant to the Commodity Operations group of Goldman Sachs, engaged in the development of an integrated fixed income, currency and commodities operations system. From 1993 until 1996, he was a senior analyst at Interlaken Capital, Inc. Mr. Cromie also serves on the board of managers of Atlas Industrial Services LLC and Capital Equipment Resources LLC.
Thomas Denig, Chairman and Manager of Commercial Resources
Mr. Denig was a lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps before joining Trus Joist Corporation in 1974. He has served as a sales representative and sales management positions, including Western Division Manager, and Vice President of Eastern Operations. In 1990, he became President of Trus Joist Corporation, and in 1995 moved to President and CEO of TJ International, Inc., parent company of Trus Joist Corporation. TJ International was acquired by Weyerhaeuser Company in February, 2000. Mr. Denig served as President of Trus Joist, a Weyerhaeuser Business until his retirement in May, 2005. Mr. Denig currently serves as Chairman of the Board of North Pacific and as a director of JM Huber Company.
Kurt Liebich, Chief Executive Officer and Manager of Commercial Resources
Mr. Liebich joined Trus Joist in 1994 as a Corporate Finance Manager. Kurt served in numerous roles, including Production Manager of the Stayton facility, VP of Marketing for Trus Joist, and Vice President of Commercial and Industrial Operations. In early 2005, Kurt succeeded Tom Denig as Vice President of Trus Joist and stepped down as Vice President of Marketing for iLevel (Weyerhaeuser’s Wood Products division) in 2007. Mr. Liebich serves as the Chairman of the Board for the Riverstone International School, Director of the Lee Pesky Learning Center, Director of Project Lead the Way and Trustee of the Charitable Leadership Foundation.
Bruce Murphy, Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Commercial Resources
Mr. Murphy began his career with Trus Joist/Weyerhaeuser in 1982. He served in accounting and finance management roles in numerous Trus Joist divisions, multiple manufacturing facilities, International Operations and several merger and acquisition projects.
Ted Osterberger, Senior Vice President of Operations for Commercial Resources
Mr. Osterberger joined Trus Joist/Weyerhaeuser in 1995. He has served in various technical positions within the company, including technical support, research and development and Manager of Product Applications at the Weyerhaeuser’s Corporate Technology Center. His prior position was Senior Vice President of Engineering for Commercial Resources, responsible for product quality and technical support for all commercial applications.
Randy Ruim, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Commercial Resources
Mr. Ruim joined Trus Joist as a sales representative in 1981. He held a number of sales representative and management positions, including Canadian Prairie Region Sales Manager, Northwest and Western Region Sales Manager and Northwest Region General Manager. In 2005, Mr. Ruim succeeded Kurt Liebich as the V.P./General Manager of Commercial Sales for the iLevel Trus Joist Commercial Business.
William Walters, Vice Chairman and Manager of Commercial Resources
Mr. Walters was a General Manager and Operations Vice President for Trus Joist Corp. Mr. Walters owned and operated a business which manufactured and sold innovative wood I-joists to the commercial construction market in the western U.S. He led the development of Willamette Industries, Inc. engineered products business. He began working for Trus Joist Commercial in 1967 and held a number of roles including Boise Plant manager (the largest Open-Web truss plant at the time), National Manufacturing Manager (responsible for 14 plants), Southwest Division Manager, Northwest Division Manager and Vice President of Microllam LVL Operations.
Richard Yarbrough, Manager of Commercial Resources
From July 2000 through 2003, Mr. Yarbrough formed and was President of Skywood Forest Products, a consultancy in the forest products sector, with a focus on international business. From July 1996 to July 2000, Mr. Yarbrough served as Business Director of the Engineered Wood and Plywood Division of Louisiana-Pacific, responsible for the production, sale and service of specialty-engineered wood products. From 1987 to 1996, Mr. Yarbrough was Vice President – Western Timberlands of IP Timberlands, a unit of International Paper, with 19 total years of service at International Paper. Prior to that, Mr. Yarbrough spent six years with Weyerhaeuser and MacMillan Bloedel Limited in timberlands operations. Mr. Yarbrough currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Wood Resources LLC, is a member of the board of Northern Pulp Nova Scotia Corporation and is a graduate of Oregon State University.
